The authenticity of the phenomenon called “stigmata”, or the mysterious appearance of the marks of Jesus’ nail and spear wounds upon the bodies of some Christians, is much debated. But there is no doubt that the death and resurrection of the Lord leave their mark on the lives of all those who believe in Him.
