“Bethlehem: Beginning and Ending of Ruth’s Story and Our’s” : Ruth 1:1-19a

Bethlehem means “the house of bread”.  Ruth’s story began and ended there, sustained by God’s goodness and mercy.  There too began our salvation story: Jesus, the son of David, completely meets our need for life and salvation.  There is no other god who can feed and save us.  Bethlehem, the house of bread.  Jesus, the Bread of Life.  Our salvation story never ends.
