The Peace of the Lord be with you all as we work to figure out all the details of returning to Worship. This has been a challenge to work out, and as we have gone deeper into the planning, we have discovered some difficulties that have required us to make some changes to what was originally planned.
After completing some measurements within the church, we have come to realize that attendance will have to be limited to about 27 people per service, to allow for adequate social distancing throughout the service. As a result, membership will be split into four seperate groups and each group can attend Worship once every four weeks. If you have email, please check your email for a new list of Worship groups that will contain information about which Sunday you can attend.
Our sincere apologies that Worship is to be limited in this way, but it is the safest way to still have Worship, and to keep everyone safe. Several other modifications to Worship have also been made to reduce the risk as much as possible:
-
Singing will be replaced with speaking of hymns or listening to hymns
-
The offering plate will be placed on a chair at the back of the church. If you bring your offering, place it in the plate either at the beginning or at the end of Worship
-
Please bring your own facemask if you have one. Facemasks will also be available at the church when you come in. They will be placed out and you can take one. Bulletins will also be placed out for self service. Hymn books will not be used, all the service will be in the printed bulletin.
-
Other safety measures that were posted earlier will also be in place.
-
We will be publishing a youTube video later in the week that will display a video explanation of what you can expect, and how to get yourself into the sanctuary and Worship protocols.
